All our best wishes from the Isle of Man Rosie, we did the same thing on new years eve we had some of our stuff in the bungalow so made uo the new bed and caught the cat and slept here last of 2014 and woke up in 2015 in our new home and have stopped here since.

Sometimes a leap of faith is just the ticket and it all pans out good.

Hope you get in and settle quick like we have, can't be as positive about the cat tho she is almost 17 and lived in the old house all her life she is elderly and has trouble getting on the sofa, BUT that didn't stop her scaling a 6 foot high wooden fence jumping down the other side and doing a runner she led us a merry chase in and out of neighbours gardens, none of whom we knew lol.

It took 3 of us almost 45 minutes to catch the old girl so she is now confined to barracks till we get a harness and lead to take her in the garden on which I can't see her liking much.

Manxie xxx

Kath and Crystal send their love as well

So glad your move went well Manxie, I thought it would break my heart to leave our old house but I left without a backward glance and even still walk by it or park outside it without even a little pang. Hopefully pusscat will settle soon also xxx

To add we are still moving in, lol, we do at least one run a day to the old house to take boxes long long ago packed in anticipation, to be sorted and found homes for or returned to the old house.

I am guessing that we will still be making trips to the tip and sorting the old house in 12 months time if not longer, we have 19 rooms full of over 30 years of hoarding to sort through and sell, use, or give away or take to the recycle at the tip.

I put my passport and wedding ring in our bedroom about 12 years ago and still not found either had to replace the passport but the ring was almost all 22 carat gold from my dads wedding ring his dads ring and my ring plus some extra gold as my fingers are so big, so I hope it turns up too valuable not to find again lol

If you are like us you'll be so excited with now and the future the old house will soon be memories xxx

Love Manxie xx

I hope you find the ring Manxie! Not long after I moved in with Mick my mum gave me a gorgeous gold 'slave bangle' gold bracelet that was too small for her. She told me it was for Becks when she turned 18. It went missing just before our move from that house to our Swindon one - I hoped it would be found when we packed to move but it never turned up :( I felt awful and never told mum :( :(

I wish it hadn't been lost :(
