It's bright and sunny here, but the heavy frost is only just beginning to thaw. E's been out for the papers and we're about to have brekkie, yes I know very very lazy, and that's the way we intend to stay for the rest of the day

Glad you're feeling a bit better Osc, my dad used to get terrible sinusitis and was always miserable with it (((xx)))

Soup's on - trying out the new slow cooker for the first time, gosh what a difference it being metal, so much lighter even full of veg

I got Bb the fire Tv game controller for Christmas - since our most up-to-date console is the original wii, and he and youngest do love to play games.
He's pleased with it, and I had 600 amazon coins sitting doing nothing, so he's just found Sonic the hedgehog for 199 of them
Even I used to play that, but it's a long time ago now, and I haven't played any of those kind of games for years and years, so it will be interesting to see if I can still do it
I can hear all those familiar sound effects so he's obviously doing ok

Good afternoon everybody,
Been shopping this morning and had my hair cut.
Putting clothes away now they have been washed and ironed. I did some ironing yesterday.
Having a relaxing afternoon.
Some clouds but it is warmer than yesterday

Good afternoon all, it's sunny here and was white over with a heavy frost earlier but it must be a tad warmer because the pavements have cleared for the first time in a few days.

John texted me earlier to say that he plans on leaving around 4 so by the time his sister's stuck her oar in it'll probably be more like 6.

Glad you're feeling a bit better Osc, hope you're better soon Aggers - John's had this cold for over 2 weeks now, it's one that lingers isn't it

Well we had a lovely time out - parked up in the Quays' car park then walked up through the shops there, round the Docks' main basin and up the back road that takes you up to the Cathedral as my sister wanted to see it We went inside and had a wander around - there was a wedding going on up at the far end, in a private cordoned off part. We were a fair way away but could see the bride and groom stood at the altar and hear the hymns

Then we walked back again, through town this time, had a snack and hot drink at Corretto's and then came home again. J and P have gone home now, but it has been a lovely couple of days

I've been for a walk around the town, had a look at a couple of sales but didn't buy anything.

The soup's done and tastes lovely - we're having it for dinner but I wanted it done early as there's loads, will take some out and part-blitz it, then keep some out for tomorrow's lunch and see how much more there is. There's space in the freezer now so I'm hoping there will be some to stash
Just having a cup of tea and a mini-stollen now to keep us going for an hour or so
