Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 21 Dec 2014, 06:55

Good morning. :D

Still dark here - we got home from the party at 7am, had loads of toast & Marmite so I might have a snooze now.

The SCD final set my dancing shoes alight. 8-)

Today (after said snooze  ) I will be mostly reading and catching up on last week's stuff I've recorded.

Looking forward to staying in tonight.

Have a great day everyone. :D

Good morning! Good party then Ally?! :D

Still dark here but it's dry from what I can see. We'll start the day with a long walk, and as long as John's feeling up to it the plan is that we'll go to the German market later. We were going to go one night last week but neither he or Joe were up to it - and it closes tomorrow! Tom's working all day so we'll drop Billy in with my parents while we go.

I'm half expecting my friend Alison to drop around today, she usually visits her husband's great aunt in Dudley on the Sunday before Christmas and drops presents off here while she's going through the area. The pressies for her and her family are the only ones I need to hand over now, I went around to Ruth and Rob's house last night (Rob's my oldest friend who I've known since birth!) with a bagful, and left with another bagful.

Have a good day all!

We're up nice and early getting ready for the invasion.

Can't believe it's only two more days and we'll be driving up to Swindon  fingers crossed this spell of nice weather continues for our journey.

Hope you all have a good day :)

Morning all :)
Had a good time then Ally :D :P
Hope you're feeling better Ton x
Good luck with the shopping Kaz x
Have a lovely day Jen :)

Party day for us :D :P :P :P
Not too much to do, I've done well by pacing myself (although that late vodka last night wasn't such a good idea!), so have the chicken dish to make later but not loads otherwise.
Yesterday made walnut bread, Greek orange cake (with pomegranate juice added to the syrup), houmus, marinated olives, got the tree up...
Haven't been able to do much shopping for Christmas, we don't have a very big fridge/freezer anyway, but Bb's going to collect our rib of Dexter beef tomorrow so I'll get a plan done - not helped by the fact we don't know when/how long eldest is coming for, and so also haven't been able to arrange when Bb's mum and dad are coming :o :?

Hope you all have a good day, and hope Wm's improving

Good morning my friends.

It's quite pleasant here this morning, and I've just been a walk in the sunshine.
(I'm determined to keep up my walking, even though I'm dog-less.)

We have some old friends visiting us this afternoon, so we had better tidy the place up a bit.

Have a nice day.

Hope it goes well Di, the food sounds delish :D

Got my shopping done - bit frustrated that they didn't have the cinnamon bagels or Boursin I wanted, but when I got to the till and the bill was only about two thirds of last year's at Sainsbury's I cheered up   I can pick those up somewhere in town tomorrow anyway, after my meeting ;)

Saundra I like warning too  ;) xxxx

Evening all!

I am spending the evening/night alone....it's been the local football derby today between Sunderland and Newcastle, so Tom had planned to go over to Amy's who is a huge footie fan to watch it in the club - he's taken the dogs and has tomorrow off, so he left here about 11.30am (kickoff was 1.30). He had taken the dogs out this morning and then brought us breakfast in bed with the paper, and then we had another snooze - he is always up at 5 so this was a real treat!

After he left I had a shower and then nipped over to my sister's with my BIL's birthday card - it's tomorrow and no way would he have got it on time otherwise. After I got back and done the ironing, Jen and I got cracking with the present wrapping. I'm SOOOO pleased she offered to help - we had a good system going on, essentially she did the wrapping and I wrote the tags and 'tarted them up' with bows and ribbon. I took her to work and then got back and did hers, so I'm all done :) :)

This evening has been heaven....peace and quiet just me and the cat, I've watched a bit of telly while I had some tea (soup and a sandwich, then a mince pie with cream ....mmmmmmm) - was going to have a bath and read my book but it's got a bit late so I have come here instead.

Got work tomorrow and Wednesday but I THINK I am off on Tuesday! Boss was supposed to text and confirm it over the weekend but he hasn't.....

Hope the party went well Di 8-)

xxxxxx
