Good morning. :D

Another nice day forecast. 8-) 8-) 8-)

I had a fantastic night last night..the meal was delicious and the dancing was merry.

I'm going into Malaga this morning - I'm meeting up with a friend I haven't seen since I left Scotland in 1982!
We've kept in touch all these years so I'm really excited to be seeing her again. :D :D

We're going to have lunch on the coast. :D

I'm going for beers and tapas on my own tonight - luckily there will be about 20 others there to keep me company!   :P

Have a great day everyone. :D

Oh Ally how lovely!!!! Have fun catching up :D :D ;)

Ton I'm so pleased for you, what a difference that will make :D :D

Morning all :) I've been awake for a while, my lovely hubby got out of bed at the crack of dawn to run B to Cheltenham for her second rabies jab. She had to change it to a very early morning one so she can rush to Bristol afterwards, as a tutor at uni decided to drop a compulsory all day presentation on them, instead of the half day they were informed about :( Luckily the clinic could oblige about the appointment change, and Mick volunteered to drop her firstly at the clinic and then afterwards to the station ;) There is a strict protocol with the jabs, as to when they can be done, the timings are very exact :?

I've just got bits and pieces to do today, nothing special ;)

Hope everyone has a good day :) xx

Morning all. Dark and dreary here this morning.

I'm waiting for the carpet fitter to come and look at the kitchen flooring. It has all bubbled in one area and is getting worse. I am hoping he can stretch it out without us having to move the cooker and fridge. If he can't it will have to wait until the new year.

Off out with a friend this afternoon walking the doggies before picking up L and her friend to drop them at the cinema to see Paddington. I'll have a mooch round Tesco whilst they are in there I think.

My MIL is driving me insane! We invited them for xmas lunch - which is usually a very low key event in this house. Lasagne is our usual choice and we don't always even eat that if the chocolates call hard enough. But as mum is coming this year I thought we ought to invite the inlaws. So I am doing something more than lasagne but still stuff that will look after itself - a ham that I can do a couple of days before and a brisket of beef that can go in the slow cooker. Now MIL wants to bring a duck. I said no as I don't want the hassle of roasting it. So she said she'd roast it and bring it with her. NO. So then she moves on to puddings. I told her only one as mum is bringing an xmad pudding. So she's bringing Eton Mess. And I'll bring a hot pudding as well shall I. An apple pie. NO. And what about starter. We aren't having one. I've got a nice soup recipe I'll make that shall I. NO. And crackers. I'll bring crackers shall I? NO - I have them. Shall I bring cheese and biscuits? NO NO NO NO NO.

In fact MIL, why don't you bring your oven, your table and all your crockery and we'll do your Christmas shall we.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Well, the ferocious wind has eased a bit and the rain seems to have stopped but it was certainly a wild night!

Ally how lovely, after all those years, have a good time won't you :D
Ton it's brilliant, all the difference between counting every singe euro and being able to relax a bit (((x)))

Debih I feel your pain, I have had that nightmare in my own and other peoples' houses (when I was cooking!)

Have a good day all

OH MY BLOODY GOD.

She's just rung to see if I want her to bring any after dinner mints.

Is this going to be a daily ritual from now until Christmas Day.

I'm off to make limoncello - in fact sod the lemons, I'll just drink the vodka neat!

Maybe I could give the lemons to MIL and she could make a lemon meringue to bring too. You can never have enough puddings can you.
