Oh Jo, what now?

I am a Leeds fan so it is illegal for me to say anything positive about Manchester Untied. However, in the next few days they could slip from 13th to 15th and that's just wrong.

Has Amorim lost the dressing room? His personal criticisms of some players and also "the team" seem to suggest so. He might need to look in the mirror for answers as to why that is.

At least they’ve offloaded Rashford. Amazed at Villa.

At his unveiling by Villa today Rashford looked odd. A very strange smile and he looked a bit overweight.
I'm surprised at Villa too, MM.

Villa fans seem to be generally welcoming of Rashford, giving him the benefit of the doubt ATM.
I think they may also be pleased that ManU are paying most of his wages during the loan period ......

I think most are pleased that he’s speaking out against players, they need a kick up the backside.
He’s actually more popular than the team, at least where match goers are concerned. He has his own chant now, only Garnacho, Jonny Evans and Bruno Fernandes out of the current lot have chants, and Amorim’s is sung more than any other.
You can see improvements with some players, but we’re stuck with others and because of poor decisions in the past there’s not a lot of money to replace them.

I wish we could stay mid table, have a season out of Europe although not good for finances but we need Amorim to have a preseason, build his own team over time and less games (and travelling) buys more time on the training pitch. I know he spoke out when he first joined about the fact that it had been difficult to actually do any proper training.

Rashford. Hmm. Manchester is the sort of place where everyone knows everyone else’s business and there have been rumblings for a while now that things aren’t what they seem with him. Long hours spent gambling in a casino, heavy drinking and, worryingly, addiction issues. Sleeping tablets are mentioned a lot.
There was the a Belfast incident last year. He went there to visit a friend, was seen out, very drunk, in clubs until the early hours, flew back to Manchester by private plane at dawn and then missed training by saying his was ill. Of course, the real reason came out as people had photos which were passed onto the media. There was another occasion, away at Wolves I think, where he was dropped because he’d turned up late. Word is that he was dropped for City away in early December because he turned up hungover.
Two days before his first training session with Amorim he was spotted out in New York, as someone online put it “cosplaying as a rapper”.

When the pics of him at Villa came out on Sunday night both me and Joe thought he looked odd, but if there’s any truth in the above then that would explain his appearance.

Jo, the fans might chant Amorim but is that because they dislike Ratcliffe / Glazers and many of the the players, except those you mention, so much?

General management principles say not to rag 'the team' and that is what he has done.

ManUre wiil not go down, that's a given, but Amorim will have to bring in player in the summer to play his way. My bet is that he struggle in that and will not have much time.

I wonder if he regrets leaving Portugal where he was mega successful.
