The FA - now there's logic ....

The FA :geek: have finally completed their re-organisation of the Non-League soccer club pyramid, to start in the 2021/22 season (if we're not back in total lockdown by then).

One of the principle aims of expanding the number of leagues was to reduce travelling costs for clubs. So, how did it pan out? Amongst many "gems" we have, in the Western League:

Shepton Mallet vs Mousehole !!

That works, then

I bet those that decided that match don't know how far it is from Shepton Mallet to Mousehol;e.
I looked it up.176 miles.
That is a real day out if you are a supporter of Shepton Mallet.

The furthest flung Western League team from Mousehole (just the other side of Penzance, for those who might not know it) is actually Keynsham Town, which is half-way between Bath and Bristol. The journey is 189 miles each way.

A Keynsham Town fan put it into context with an analogy you'll be familiar with, Cruiser. They said it was the equivalent of playing home and away games with Bacup Borough FC!
