Proposals put forward by the FIA recently include two compulsory pit stops per race and doubling the amount of points for the last race in the season (this one I think they have adopted).
What next? Ten points for the driver who can lap fastest whilst balancing a pint of beer on their helmet?
Drivers having to jump out of their car at pit stop and play the middle eight bars of "Swanee River" on the banjo?

I have heard rumours that a 'Banana skin' button is to be installed in every car, but only operable by other teams, it can be used only once per season.

And the 1 million point bonus for winning the last race means that everyone has a chance of being WDC.
