I've just noticed in the last couple of weeks that my face feels really dry when I wake up in the morning.

I put lashings of cream with a high sun factor on every day as I spend alot of time outdoors so my skin feels ok in the day, I can't stand it feeling dry.

The night cream I was using just doesn't seem to be doing its job any more.

The past few nights after my bedtime shower I've even resorted to a few drops of Bio oil but realised when I got up this morning that my skin still felt dry.

Any advice please for a really good, thirst quencher for my skin.

Does the skin care range you use have a serum? They are really good for a bit of an extra boost xxx

Also, is the cream you use in the day a skin cream with spf, or a sun cream? A suncream won't be as good for your skin as a skin cream iyswim. Although you say it feels ok in the day, it's still having the effect on it at night.

Clinique city block is very well though of, I believe.
What are you using at night at the moment?

The day cream I've been using for a while is Soap & Glory with a factor 25 and I'm really happy with it.

I'd never use normal sun cream (iyswim) on my face as I think it would be a yukky and drag my skin feeling for my liking.
I like a nice moisturiser, with factor, for the day.

The night cream I've been using..and frankly been disappointed in..is Palmer's cocoa butter. It feels more like grainy lard! (Not that I've ever put lard, grainy or otherwise, on my mush! )

I bought it when I was last in the UK and it's horrid.

Just going with what Kaz said about serum?

I want to go to Primor today and get something so I've just googled night creams!

God this is a minefield.

If you're happy with the Soap & Glory stick with that then, but maybe with a serum underneath?

The Olay regenerist is good and not expensive so worth a try, I used to use that and others here do, was it Mm?

Palmers cocoa body cream & lotion are good but haven't tried any of their face stuff - and won't be now either

Soap and Glory is full of parabans.

There are some good products which are not full of nasties if you search around a bit.

I bought the Soap & Glory in the UK and don't want to wait till I go back in December to get some more..or even for a delivery here. My face really needs summat now.

I'll buy the Olay stuff today, with serum hopefully, and see if that helps.

I slathered Palmer's cocoa butter on my tummy to prevent stretch marks when I was pregnant, it's fab stuff which is why I thought the night cream would be good.

It's been demoted to foot cream!!

Sounds like a Spanish snack.

I use Boots Time Delay range, the serum is really good and not expensive. I used to use the No7 range but that got silly money expensive

Olay Regenerist is what I use (although I sometimes use Nivea just to ring the changes for a bit) and Regenerist has a serum - it's very good. It's not expensive really for the results, as Di said, and in fact it is even cheaper if you buy it on eBay
