I love this coat, but......

I saw this coat last week in Southwold and I tried it on and it is lovely. I am very tempted to treat myself especially now I have Toffee dog every Friday

But.......I absolutely hate that label on the pocket. It looks so stupid, what is the point?

My friend paid a fortune for a Michael Kors handbag. Its beautiful but covered in Michael Kors badges.

Why is it the more you pay, the more the designers seem to think you want to tell the world "look what I can afford"

I honestly don't get it

I wouldn’t even mind if it had Lazy Jacks embroidered in navy on the pocket, I just think that label is ugly :?

It wouldn't bother me either.

As for Michael Kors bags though, I think the badges make them look cheap and tacky when cheap is the last thing that they are!

I was running through Primark on Sunday to get some socks and spotted a fluffy cerise jumper very, very like one I had and adored in the mid-80s.
I may have to go back and get one

Now Pirmark don't feel the need to plaster their name all over things do they? Funny that

You know what? That was supposed to go on Di's thread about jumpers

You know something else? Primark have a concession in Selfridges in Birmingham and also, I think, in Manchester.

So many of the designer labels look tacky though. Money certainly doesn't buy taste. I bought a bag from Ebay with some money I had last Christmas and it's fantastic. Plain soft black leather, big enough to use everyday or even for a day out but it's not too big. It's been used three or four times a week and still looks in excellent condition and it cost me the princely sum of £25.

I need a new coat for Winter walks but I'm really struggling to find something I like that isn't too anorak-y and frumpy without spending a small fortune when it'll be mud splattered first time out

I have a few Primark cardis, a few of their vest tees, and their no vpl knickers are great, as are their opaque tights - at a fraction of the price of M&S ;)Jo I noticed those fluffy jumpers, they look really nice!

Expensive doesn't always mean better, and it certainly doesn't guarantee tasteful ;)
