Basil

Not something I use a lot of, but D left me two very healthy basil plants and wondering what I can use them for - apart from making the kitchen smell lush

Fantastic in tomato soup!! I envy you as my garden pots of basil have died off and I want to make tomato soup this week with the last of the greenhouse toms. I'll have to buy some from the supermarket

Basically basil is great in anything tomato-ey, or in a stew IMO :) Also in grilled cheese sarnies ;)

Oh and I use it, torn into tiny pieces, with olive oil, for trays of roasted veggies 8-) 8-)

Thanks Kaz, I'll be doing a stew later this week, will add some then, rather than bay leaf.
