Has any-one any experience of those Tefal one teaspoon of oil fryers?

I've gone through about 6 deep fat fryers since we've been here they all blow up (think we have dodgy wiring in the extension) and when/if we move, I'm planning on buying a proper chip pan, rather than using just a deep pan, as I'm doing now.

Grumpy has said that we can get one of those Tefal ones, as long as some-one has good reports about it.

Any thoughts please?

And no, we don't like oven chips and no, I can't get him not to eat chips, at least once a week

My ex did not get on with hers and gave it to my daughter when she recently moved house.

The ex and her other half do like their fried food fried, IYSWIM, and Becky only uses it rarely as it is more of a hot box with a food paddle to keep stirring things than a fryer. Expensive to buy as well!

If your wiring is dodgy for a deep fryer it will also be dodgy for a Tefal fryer.

I don't know anything about them, we never fry food apart from eggs, mushrooms etc sometimes.......

I dry fry a lot of things, especially bacon and mushrooms and sometimes sausages, but I prefer those grilled.

I now have a mini frying pan suitable for one egg, but instead of frying I cook them in water. I put water in the pan and bring it to a boil then drop in the egg as I would if I was frying it.

Is that not poaching then?

Yes, but as it is only a tiny baby pan the egg doesn't spread all over the place and comes out in a sort of fried egg shape.

It does and I have seen those small frying pans but never thought of that

I'm going to look out for one, and get it Far fewer points/calories, cooking them without fat
