I made some pulled pork today; using this recipe as a base http://scandelights.com/2011/05/06/pulled-pork/

But, I added a bit more chipotle than the recipe called for as well as about a good teaspoon of honey because the BBQ sauce didn't taste right to me. I left it in the slow cooker for quite some time - 1 hour on high, nearly 5 on low and then another 1 on high. Shredded the pork and then - because I wanted a bit more flavour - again added a teaspoon of chipotle, a bit of salt as well as a another teaspoon of honey

and all I'll say is yum yum yum yum yum

Ria, did you leave out the veg..... I would have?

And did you add whiskey?

What veg? :? :? the recipe I used didn't have any veg besides the onion and garlic and those I did use :D :D :D

But just to add that once I cooked up some rice to have with the pork and then tasting it (ie about 15 mins after the pork had it's final seasoning) the one thing I'd do different is leave out that last bit of honey; it does sweeten up quite a bit

Where I come from onion and garlic is veg! :P :P :P

I agree about letting things rest awhile before adding flavours, they sometimes develop - you can add, but can't take away.
