Another winner
Bb stopped off at Waitrose on the way home just in case there were any good bargains (I've taught him well!) and came back with 500g of turkey mince for 75p
I knew I'd seen a recipe using it in one of the Hairy Dieters books and sure enough - turkey burger with chips, for 313 calories each
It used 500g of the mince, to make 8 burgers serving 4, so we have 4 for another day
They mixed it with leek and courgette, neither of which I had, so instead used a little red onion plus garlic, chilli, ginger, lime zest & juice, and a splash of light soy. More like Thai-spiced patties, and blooming lovely!
The chips are 475g of potato for 4, I had one weighing 220g. Just cut in wedges and toss with a teaspoon (half) of oil, paprika, salt & pepper, then bake.
You could also sub the potato for a pitta bread each (check the cals on those, Lidl's are only 140cals each). Or make smaller patties and have lettuce wraps with a small amount of rice, all sorts of possibilities
