Doesn't fill me with excitement

Lidl has offers this week 'A taste of Poland'.
I have nothing against the Poles, have a Polish step brother-in-law who's lovely. But it's telling that he's a chef, and the only Polish product I've ever seen /heard him enthuse about is vodka ;)
This is their selection http://www.lidl.co.uk/cps/rde/SID-AFE6A ... 0.htm?ar=6
Now be honest, are you tempted? :D

Wish you hadn't brought that up ... made me feel hungry, so I've just gone got a small bowl of Dobre Kapusta Saurkraut with Carrot out of the jar in the fridge.

Smells like old socks but I like it .... :D

I could rustle up something a bit (no, a lot) more appetising in just a couple of minutes, but it's a fast day today so you stick with your jar Ossie ;)

Looks as though I will be the only one coming out in support of Polish sausages.

Zywiecka and Kabanosy are both smoky and spicy, and the Krakow version is a bit like garlic sausage. The pork and chicken paste is also a bargain.

Leeds has had a large Polish community dating back to between the wars, so some of their foods are not as exotic as they might be in other places.

I do like Polish sausages, WM, but it's a bit of a way to go to find a Polish delicatessen, and the quality of some of the "European" meats on sale in Asda leaves a little bit to be desired ..... often rather gristly, which is why I've stopped buying chorizio etc from there.

Yuk, none of it appeals to me at all, but we do have two busy Polish Delicatessens here so someone's buying it
