A kind neighbour popped round with some veg from his allotment the other day. There were some nice beetroot among the carrots and squash. I have never cooked beetroot before, so I had a look online and found a lovely recipe for beetroot Risotto...

Oh I love cooked beetroot, just don't put it anywhere near vinegar! (But it does turn your wee red if you eat a lot)

Oh yes, cold cooked beetroot.
Some sleb chefs are putting it in chocolate cake or ice-cream..... why spoil it?
