...I love it!

We have a fab little Thai restaurant in our town and ate there last night.

I had Tom Yum Goong - spicy shrimp soup.

Som Tum - papaya salad.

Gaeng Daeng - red curry. Absolutely delicious!

I'm going to google these later and get the recipe as I'd love to make the soup. I make a mean green curry but want to expand my Thai range.

Me too. I get my inspiration for our fairly frequent visits to Jino's Thai street food cafe.

I love the fact that it is hot and spicy yet fragrant and light, unlike Chinese or Indian.

Off to look for the soup recipe.... :D :D :D

That's exactly why I love it too Frank...hot, spicy and yet light.

I'd love something different from chicken, chips, rice, salad or mista carne.

Something tasty, spicy.

But not here, sadly

The Portuguese think piri-piri is the only heat they can take and here in the Alentejo, they dislike even that

We both love Thai food too, our absolute favourite.
I have a really good recipe book and used to make loads, including a fabulous papaya salad, and a fresh mackerel one.
Very time consuming, but perfect for an afternoon in the kitchen :)
