Weka food has gone up a LOT in price here since the recession, I would say at least by 25/30% as that seems to be the amount by which my food bills have grown...........so it is more expensive than when you lived here.

Plum tomatoes are the variety they use in tins, so I guess would be the best to bottle. They can them in tomato juice :)

I wouldn't bother bottling, that's a thing from before folk had freezers ;)

I thought bottling as I've got half empty laundry cupboards, but a 3/4 fill freezer.
A recipe would be great if you can find it Deb. I can at least have a look at the effort involved before I plant all the seeds
