The Police Federation wants all front line cops, those on the beat, to carry tasers to protect them, and us, from terrorists. Pull the other one.

Terrorists don't get within taser range, and they carry guns with killing ranges way beyond that of a taser. Terrorists also do not tend to advertise themselves except when they are about to attack. Terrorists do not wear uniforms so any one of us, or none, could be one. The number of terrorists in society is a fraction of 1% compared to the majority law abiding citizens.

So, why do the authorities want to weaponise every police officer, and who are they really being weaponised against? Clue: it certainly is not terrorists.

The police are damned useless in our area, one chap notorious for violence, drugs trouble making, fighting, is constantly let off.
Police are called, they do nothing. What ever and whenever the drug addicted heavy drinker offender commits a felony, he has numerous cases pending against him, the family state "We have Friends in high places is the family brag" he has just got off with a caution for seriously aggravating an old flame who has young children... He is irrational and it has been stated by the latest recipient as by other People have who have complained Does. this man seriously have to hurt someone male or female before action is taken against him.Law and order. "Don't make me laugh"

Could become a game of "taze the pig". Half a dozen in front to distract, one in the back to grab the tazer and zap them.....

However, having said that, the UK is one of the last police forces not armed. Most of the rest of the world has police who carry guns normally. Tazers are seen as a joke, or as a nonlethal addition to these forces.....

Certainly the terror thing is a bad joke. The police are more at risk from the general population than Terrorists. So why lie about it? Well, because they think we'll be panicked. Idiots.

2 - The police we do have forget that their job is to enforce the law.
3 - The punishments now permitted by law are just not severe enough.
4 - We should bring back the Birch and the death penalty.

Oh the Police know what their job is. However their spreadsheet bosses set priorities which force them to not do their job because they are filling in checkmarks in the spreadsheet.

Currently, one Scottish police force has deemed that Stop and Search is a priority. So one police officer simply has to kick the Arse out of it. In one month he achieved over 900 stop and search. Over 30% of which were on suspects <=10 years old......

Until that idiocy stops we won't get better policing. We'll just get more crime and better statistics...

It has been revealed that the police have 18,000,000 mug shots on their database, 25% of the people in the UK. The overwhelmingly vast majority of these mug shots are of innocent people. Get that: innocent people!

They have DNA databases, ANPR records, CCTY records, conviction records, even for spent convictions, and now this. A lot of this infromation is held illegally. Many of them wander, sorry, drive about like crossbreeds of a Borg and Robocop. On an individual basis many of them are arrogant or unapproachable, or both. No wonder they want tasers, they are scared to death of the innocents among us who might, one day, stand up and say "enough is enough!".
