This cabernet reshuffle

Postby meriad » 15 Jul 2014, 13:30

now I'll be the first person to admit that I don't know much about politics. I know I should care more but I don't.....   so whilst I recognise some of the names I don't know the people, who they are and what they stand for

But it was mentioned on the radio news this morning and again looking at some on-line papers that there is a big 'furore' (for want of a better word) that David Cameron is replacing a lot of the male MP's with female MP's. As said I don't know any of these people but I really hope that whoever is given a new MP role is given so due to their ability to do the job and not because of their gender :?

Watched Teresa May at lunch time about the new bill being rushed through Parliament. What a load of waffle.
Hope any new women ministers are better.

Positive discrimination such as this always worries me too Ria.....the best person for the job should be just that, regardless of gender! :?
