Council Tax

Postby Rodo » 07 Mar 2014, 09:32

We have just had the good news that South Ribble Council will be freezing its share of the council tax for the fourth time in the past five years!

Is that good or what?

.. as is ours - 1.99999%, the maximum!

But then Birmingham City Council are bankrupt anyway and having to sell off the NEC to meet liabilities for (amongst other things) breaching wage equality legislation ....

Our council is not putting up the council tax.
I bet in a couple of years the councils which have not raised the tax will find that they have problems like Birmingham.
Our council has built a new office block yet can't find the money to repaint the white lines in the car park at the leisure center I use.
There has been a report in the local paper about one councilor who is being investigated for a large bill for the use of his mobile phone. I bet it was one of the latest smart phones.
