its wall to wall 24 hrs a day
he was a brilliant man but he was 95 and ill
all uk news was forgotten
and we had a huge storm that was devastating here
but no coverage
everytime there is a big story its 24 hr coverage then forgotten
you never get feed back

I agree Saundra, on radio and tv it's non-stop and I am suffering with Mandela fatigue. It goes without saying that he was an outstanding man, but other news is being pushed into the background and replaced with wall to wall coverage, repeating the same stuff over and over.

Yes, the storm in particular deserved far better coverage

Not to detract in any way from Mandela's death, but the stuff was on a loop, over and over, and there are dedicated news channels, after all!

Every time he had a health scare this year, we've had "waily, waily, waily ...." all over the News.

At Moseley RUFC's game on Friday night, they announced there'd be a minute's applause before the game. What on earth for? Another case of jumping on the bandwagon ....

I also agree. It completely dominated the news on the night he died - all other news was abandoned.

I am just not watching any news at the moment - there is obviously nothing else happening in the world other than the death/funeral build up of Nelson Mandela
