Kemi Badenoch. Oh dear.
She has a tremendous opinion of herself but she keeps putting her foot in it.
She said this week that redistributing funds from those who “do not need” them was “exactly the sort of thing” the Conservatives would look at.
Oh really?
There's a word for that and it's called socialism!
In fact Kemi, who it was who said "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need"?
Karl Marx, that's who.
My wife and I worked at school, got some qualifications and got jobs that we knew would pay us a decent pension in retirement. With the state pension we can now live comfortably. Not extravagantly, but comfortably enough.
Now apparently we "don't need" what we worked and planned for.
Never mind about need, what about fairness? Is Ms Badenoch concerned with that? Those who work and pay should be able to draw out at the end of their career.
If the state has a problem with people of working age who don't fancy work, then maybe try tackling that problem?
Or the boat people from the third world who turn up with a big grin and an outstretched hand?
Badenoch is nowhere near good enough, I'm afraid.
