Posted: 06 Jun 2023, 10:42Nobody is certain which side did it. Ukraine blames Russia, Russia blames Ukraine. On balance it looks to be a Russian move as it will stall any Ukrainian advance across the Dnipro river, but against that it also stops any Russian advance back into Kherson. A chess game?
A big worry is that a lack of cooling water at the Zaporizhzia nuclear power plant could disrupt its emergency diesel generators and that would put the reactors at risk. We must all hope that does not happen. Zaporizhzia could be many times worse than Chernobyl.
