Drone attacks on Moscow

Again.

Who else thinks it is a false flag exercise to justify the intervention in Ukraine? Looking at the map Kyiv is easy for Russia, little more than 100km from the closest Russian border position.

Moscow is over 500km from the nearest Ukrainian border with some of the most densely packed anti aircraft defences in the world.

It really doesn't pass the sniff test.

There are drones and then there are "drones"; think of a 'Reaper' compared to something we can buy in the local hobby shop.

There was an article by Sky the other week about a cell of young people converting fairly cheap hobby drones into lethal weapons for Ukrainian tropps to use against the Russians.

Basicaslly they were fitting explosives to the drone and then inputting a pre-ordained flight paths into their nav systems and off they go. Send it then leg it. These things are not going to be shot down by the Russian equivalent of Patriot as the debris from the interceptor falling to earth is likely to cause more damage than the drone would have.

The latest is all very murky and false flag ops cannot be ruled out.

My thoughts too.

I mean when you are fighting to keep Russia out of your country and the President of Russia is saying you are the aggressor, are you going to do some silly attack on Moscow which has zero effect. Certainly if they could flatten a chunk of Moscow I could see them trying it.

This? Not so much.

Also, if I recall, not attacking on Russian soil is one of the terms of the weapons they are receiving.

James Cleverley has said that the Ukrainians have a right to project force beyond their own borders. The Biden administration does not agree.

But not to attack a capital city 500km away from their borders. Nobody has authorised that.
