Energy firms, big profits

Postby cromwell » 02 Aug 2022, 17:11

So now it's BP's turn.
More than 6 billion pounds profit in one quarter.
This follows on from Shell and Centrica (owners of British Gas) also announcing multi billion pound profits in the last week.
And we're going to be asked to pay massive gas and electricity bills this winter?
What's going on?

It's actually £12bn in the first two quarters - £175 for each person in the UK. Some can afford it, many cannot.

Capitalism and submissive / weak Tory chancellors - what a toxic mix.
