Inflation

Petrol and diesel is shooting up in price which will put the price of just about everything up.
Ukraine is the breadbasket of Europe but they are at war.
Before the Ukraine war we were being warned about inflation.
Europe still depends on Putin's gas.
How bad is inflation going to get?
There is a generation of young house buyers who have become accustomed to cheap money, cheap mortgages.
How are they going to cope with a £250,000 mortgage if the mortgage rate goes up to say 10%?
And our PM has apparently now banned Russian oil.
All very well, but please don't forget your own people!

It has been a Loooong time in coming but all things come to an end. This artificial situation with low inflation, low interest rates, moderate pay rises..... It had to end somewhere, something had to give.

It is breaking now, 2 years of pandemic followed by War in the Ukraine. Some day we may find out that the pandemic had a lot to do with Putin choosing to attack Ukraine now.

What will happen is what happened before. Some will fall, some will survive by the skin of their teeth. Some will flourish. Wages will start to rise faster, costs will rise even faster. Interest rates will rise and our mountain of debt will become depreciated.

Times are going to become harder and the spoiled generations are going to find out that "not fair" doesn't cut it and there won't be a fairy godmother to fly to the rescue. She's going to be too busy dealing with those who simply cannot cope as opposed to those who think it is someone else's job to cope for them.

The older generations will recognise this. The younger are about to learn.
