Apparently they Russian forces have been trying to knock off the Ukrainian President. At the same time a Russian Billionaire has, it is said, put a price on Putin's head. Now we've got US Senator's suggesting the Russian people put a hit on Putin.

I'm not in favour of this kind of thing. If you want to do that we might as well have anarchy. Not something "responsible" governments suggest.

It is not something that a responsible Government should suggest but there will be plenty in Governments and plenty outside Governments who are giving that idea some thought. People have been assassinated before and the world has not come to an end. This mad man has put everyone at risk by his indiscriminate bombing of a peaceful nation and his threats of nuclear warfare. He is holding Europe to ransom and endangering all of us, and he should be stopped in his tracks as he will keep going until he has achieved his aims. If someone took a pot shot at him I would not lose any sleep.

I'd contribute to a fund to assassinate that lunatic, same as I am sure many people would have done for Hitler

Too right! One man's life weighed up against thousands, maybe (God forbid) even millions.......

Well I never said "I" wouldn't want to bump him off... Just that it is no way for Governments to behave. Especially since we are not at war with him.

All sorts of ways. The main issue is getting into his presence. Ricin was used by the USSR in the 70's. Given more recent events I think I'd go for Polonium or VX nerve. Although both are quite detectable.
