A board for news and views on what's happening in the world

GB News

In an effort to escape BBC and Sky news I have been searching for other news programmes. I am quite liking GB News which I have been watching for the last week or two.

I am a newby to the station but I have tuned in to Farage and Michelle Dewbury so far. I have found both these programmes interesting and informative and encourage a variety of different opinions and lively debate. I have been avoiding the early morning breakfast programmes on Sky for a while now, mainly due to Kay Burley and her hectoring approach. So far on GB News I have discovered Eamon and Isabelle and Stephen and Anne and they strike a happy medium between the latest headlines and light hearted discussion which is much more palatable first thing in the morning.

I watch GB news now and then Meds.
Like you (and lots of others) I have not watched the news on the BBC or Sky for months.
Neither seems to report the news so much as spin it their way and push an agenda.

I often give it a go. It's in my favourite channels list after BBC, Sky, ITN, Al Jazz and RT.

I like a broad spectrum of views and GB offers just one more.

For me I don't soak up its views as gospel any more than I do the other channels mentioned. I use them all as gateways to alternatives. I try to think for myself.

The BBC might say one thing on a particular subject, but, hang on, who is saying other things? Let's see. Same with GB News.

I don't do live broadcast news. I want the written version so I can parse what they are saying and compare where they have contradicted themselves. It is simple in the written word and extremely difficult in the spoken word. Especially if you are Aphantasic.

My written news quotient comes from many sources, some not msm at all. From any country.
