The knives have been getting a sharpen for a few days.

We now learn from the government, Raab, that there are no "hard, fast guarantees" there would not be a Christmas lockdown and that three options are on the table.

This is not the media dooming and glooming, it is from the horse's mouth. Should any of it come to pass, even after Christmas, expect another rebellion - a big one.

I would play dirty. Pretend to be in support to let the rebels have their heads then at the last minute (quietly) renege and all file in to the 'noes' lobby behind them. Go for a GE and hope for a hung parliament then let the LibDems usher in proper PR, maybe the NZ version.
