Royal pregnancy

The Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant - cue media feeding frenzy. I'm bored already and I only heard half an hour ago.

I saw the other thread on Cafe...

I am pleased for them personally, I really am. However, I am not going to enjoy the upcoming pregnancyfest.

I do not blame them one bit for that, it is the media who I blame.

It'll be the Olympics and Jubilee all over again.

Leave them in peace to enjoy what all us other parents have enjoyed, and pray that all goes well for them.

I've just spotted the other thread in Cafe. Mods, could you merge mine into that?

Frank, I agree. Not their fault by any means and I wish them well, I just don't want it on the front page every day for the next 8 months.

Liz, don't merge it, please.

The other thread is a celebration and should be left.

This is a bit more, how can I say, objective of the mediafest we are about to have. I say again that is NOT Will and Kate's fault, but it will happen.

There's no problem, I agree, leave this thread where it is :)
Please, no-one needs feel guilty, you've all made it quite clear it's the media you're talking about - and those on café needn't feel guilty for joining in the celebrations either ;)

I am delighted for them both.. Awful that she has this constant sickness..
I had it up to the end with two of mine, it was terrible. They wanted me to go on that terrible thalidomide, thank God I didn't.
One thing is guaranteed Kate will be well looked after... ;)
Great news for the Queen and Prince Philip on this their diamond jubilee.

Mrs S and I discussed this and came to the conclusion that they decided to start afamily after the Jubilee and Olympics celebrations were over. Seems we were right.

I am very, very happy for them and will make a point of completely ignoring the media fest over it.....
