What happened to the rule of six or the support bubble rules? Are they now out of the window? Is the new law a group of 14 from any old household?

With this new regulation none of the old rules can now be enforced - they have been superseded. They can still be 'advised' of course (and challenged), but that's about it. And what if it's not a 'house party' just three tables of bridge or a small group of 'ladies wot lunch'? These are the inconsistencies that are making control of the virus such an impossible job.

The UK will hit 100,000 deaths by Monday - that's 100,000 in less than a year! Yet still we dither, delay and the rules remain unclear, changeable and open to interpretation.

Never mind, there's still one last weekend to have a fine-free blast.

I have seen a report on another forum that a young chap needed to attend a medical appointment and as it was some distance away, not doable by public transport and he doesn't drive, he arranged for a friend to give him a lift there.

They were stopped by the police en route who refused to believe their explanation and said it was illegal for anyone to be given a lift, which I believe is stretching the current regulations more than somewhat. The lads refused to accept a FPN, argued the toss and the incident ended with the police being called away to another problem, but not before taking details of the car's registration and commenting that it would best if they were not seen together in it again ..... .

Not only do the rules change almost daily, the police have no idea what they are enforcing.

I was being told a true story about one police officer in RURAL Scotland who got the edict on stop and search. He managed 900 stop and search in one month.
