That cannot be anything like a workable plan, not even in the medium term.

He didn't put a cost on the initiative because he doesn't have one even though economists say the plan would cost an £78bn. Their number is only a guess but if 1/5 of the workforce is laid off, an earlier government figure for worst case scenario, the cost would be over £150bn. So if he loses all the tax and NI contributions then where is all money coming from?
