Seemingly there is serious saber rattling going on between Korea and the US.. It was stated some months ago the missiles were in place to attack the UK as well as the States if the need arises..
Let us hope our stupid government! unlike the previous stupid government, keeps clear of getting involved if the need arises..

There was an excellent interview on the BBC News this evening with a very urbane former UK Ambassador to N Korea, from 2006-08. He commented, when pressed about what would happen if the NKs carried out their threats even with the possibility of subsequent reprisals, that if by some remote chance a NK missile did manage to land anywhere near an US military base, the Americans would suffer "a serious sense of humour failure". Which is one way of putting it .....

He then went on to wish the interviewer a Happy Easter.

The N. Koreans do not have a missile capable of carrying anything but itself.... and even they cannot reach the USA or Europe. They might have a 'bomb', but they have no viable means of delivering it unless by underhand means, possibly a civil airliner. So, it is all bluff and bluster.

Unfortunately the USA is falling for it, and as Sergei Lavrov has warned, it could all go so, so wrong.

Actually WM, they put a missile into LEO with a payload. In essence that is all that is needed for a nuke.

The sabre rattling has a kernel of truuth.

Of course if they are stupid enough to do that, they will face the consequences.

So they did.... but what was it? A nuke? Definitely not.

I once sat on one of ours... it was pretty damned big. It took a Buccaneer just to get it off the ground and lob it ... miles - the long toss. The N. Ks don't have a missile/plane capable of doing that.

I am convinced that the N. Koreans do not have a weapon as small as ours were, and they certainly do not have a warplane or missile capable of delivering one. Their only option is to put one on an airliner and then crash it into wherever - that is not going to happen.

They are threatening S. Korea at the moment, inspite of the fact that they have been at loggerheads for years, they seem unable to reach a compromise.. Russia and other countries are worried, I am wondering what the Chinese will do Frank.. I just hope that we keep our noses "OUT" of the fracas, the world is being run by a bumch of nutters.. :x

I don't like the look of it at all.

It seems to me that NK now has a leader very much the same as Hitler, and WW3 could well be on the cards.

God help us all if that happens.

It has been predicted and seemingly the world is in turmoil.. Just look at the countries at war.. B'Liar sealed our fate when he went into Iraq, "destroying" it all for gain and causing unnecessary pain and suffering, dispossessing causing hundreds and thousands of deaths to Iraqi's the loss of life to our own young men and women. And there he was kissing the backside of Gaddafi again preparing to line his own pocket and that of his cash box of a wife
Look at him now!! A multi millionaire!!! Peace Envoy "don't make me laugh"
And we can look at those waste of space individuals one being like B.Liar we have Mandy who couldn't afford to pay his mortgage.. Now a multi millionaire following disgrace he was promoted... Kinnockio! Enough said about him and his wife.
Prescott...NOw Miliband working for the benefit of mankind £500,000 a year for a start, plus mammoth expenses there are none of these charlatans who don't reap a fortune following what can only be described as incompetence and yes fiddling and abusing their positions.. And this has happened in a world wide recession. Now we await our fate with Cameron and that excuse for a politician Clegg..God preserve us from these wanna be's. there in no one in whom I have faith. Just looking at them shows the calibre of those who have taken us on the road to ruin from top to bottom. We are purely pawns.. Powerless..

Let me say, Kate, I am throughly in agreement with what you say.

The problem is that very few people care a damn about what is happening.

Some would say that at my age I shouldn't bother about how this country is being destroyed by the very people
whom we elect to look after our interests. But I do.
