Suspension of paliament was unlawful... so what next? MP's will be recalled, discussions continue etc; but what of Boris Johnson - what does this mean for him?

We all know what he should do, but he is not a man of honour....

Agree... but being curious; if he did then what? Is there someone else that could realistically take over; or is it indeed time for a general election to be called? And even if that were to happen - is there even anyone that could successfully lead this country? From what I can make out they're all as bad as each other and all people would be voting for is the best of a bad bunch. Just what solution is there?

Crumbs what a mess

What law has he broken?
Still it's interesting to see the truth out in the open. That we are an oligarchy, not a democracy. Where rich people can tout a case around multiple courts until they get the result they want.

Spot on, Crommers. Trust in all of the UK's "institutions" is now shot to pieces and we really need some sort of convulsion followed by a rebuilding of faith in an entirely different political and community model. Proportional representation at the very least.

Absolutely! Anyone with integrity would resign after being found to have acted unlawfully, but he has none and never has, neither in his public life nor private.

Number Ten have said that he has no intention of resigning, according to the lunchtime news. Of course not, the man has no honour

I have just been reading that prorogation might, from now on, be limited to x days - in law - unless 2/3 of MPs vote for it to be for a longer period. With parliament being 'resumed' MPs still have control of business and this could be introduced as an Emergency / Urgent Motion under SO 24. So, with us being just a few hours down the line, things could already change.

I also think Ossie is right in that proper PR (not AV) might now be on the cards for the very near future.

Doesn't really matter Os.
You can have whatever structure you like but if the people in that structure are rotten to the core then things will never be right.
