This morning we are hearing calls for climate change and environmental issues to become part of every entertainment output from soaps, to films, to children's programmes - even adverts.
For a long time I have been interested in such things, but I am afraid this will not work.
We are bombarded with virtue signalling in the media from multi-culti families, to LGBTQ, racism, sexism, dieting, healthy living and so on. They all have worked - for a short while, but they only have a short shelf life before most of us switch off. Once we have done that we then tend to become anti the message.
Ramming climate change and the environment down our throats at every turn will go the same way. By all means give us information backed up with facts, from both sides, but forget about the subliminal and no so subtle messages, which could lead to more harm than good.
