Where is Suff?

I haven't seen any posts from Suff recently. I hope he hasn't disappeared from our Newsboard as he always kept the debate going with interesting and thought- provoking posts. It seems a bit quiet on here lately

I was wondering earlier where Suff was too. I just looked and he last visited on the 18th. I hope all's well with him.

In his last post Suff invoked the concept of entropy - loosely, the move of a system from order to disorder. I took that as his opinion the EU was moving from one to the other.

He also stated that the debate was closed down. I took that to mean that he had been unable to persuade some of us that his perception of the EU was the correct one and that we were unlikely to change.

His view seemed to be that it was pointless to carry on. I think that is a shame because through our sparring he did cause me to look at the EU from a different perspective.

I can email him to ask if he is coming back, if that is what people want, but be warned, he is a stubborn old sod. If his mind is made up....

Well, e-mail the stubborn old sod then Frank - he is instrumental in keeping the Newsboard topical and busy - we don't all have to share the same opinions, it is not a crime to differ! The debate need not be shut down, if that is what he thinks has happened.

It is a week since I emailed Suff but there has been no reply. It did not bounce so it is likely to have been read. Also, this board is public so he could read your concerns without logging in. Whether that is happening I have no way of knowing.

I will not pester as I know he would not like that. Suff has his own mind and he might have already made it up: or not. Who knows?
