Another sex scandal.

This time it is in Halifax. Thirty-three men aged between 30 and 40 have been arrested over (alleged) sexual abuse 15 years ago.
It is tucked away as local news. Is that because these crimes are now appearing with such regularity that they are not worthy of being on the national front pages? Or could it be down to the cultural heritage of the alleged perpetrators? There must be some agenda when 'news' that Instagram's most liked photo ever is that of an egg and it is in the top three stories.
Meanwhile West Yorkshire police are are warning so-called "paedophile hunters" not to confront suspected child abusers. Five arrests have been made and there are concerns about the rise of online child abuse activist groups and their activities.
Vigilantism is rarely right, but it is easy to understand why some people in some areas can be persuaded to resort to it.
