real version.
The EU is taking steps to protect itself from the effects of us, the UK, going for a 'no-deal' option. Why wouldn't they try to mitigate things? It's sensible. The fact that their decision also helps the UK is a bonus - for us.
I know we have two different viewpoints on this. BUT, I still remember that the EU told us that what happened to the UK didn't matter to them. They dismissed warnings that locking out the UK would hurt them BADLY and carried on their Project Fear.
But when crunch time comes and it looks like their "EU centric" deal for the UK access to the EU market is really going to penalise them, suddenly they are willing to be reasonable and make sure that all their dire predictions don't come true. It was only WEEKS ago that Verhofstat and Junker were bumping their gums about all UK flights ceasing to the EU. Suddenly it's not a problem? Who LIED to whom? The EU were never going to do that no matter what the outcome, they were never going to put a hard border in Ireland, no matter what the outcome. Oh but they said they were. It is just project fear over and over and over again and we know what project fear is. It is deliberate lies in order to force the UK and the people of the UK, into doing what they want.
The only people you will see an analysis on this from are Farage and his kind. The problem here is that everyone, Government, EU, CBI, charity for dogs (yes I'm being sarcastic), said that Farage was barking mad and didn't know what he was talking about.
Yet, as every month goes on, Every Single Thing Farage said about the position the EU was in with the UK has come true. It is like falling domino's. He was right about how much we pay the EU and how much it costs to administrate the EU directives and laws. He was right about how much trade they do with us and how it would force them to come to the table if we just told them to take a hike, he was right about the total disrespect the EU showed the UK when they made their laws and regulations. He was right when he said that London was so important to them for money that they could not cut it off (he should know he was a trader once).
So when the EU caves and starts making plans to protect themselves from the very REAL and present danger of the EU faltering by losing the UK market, what do we hear?
Corbyn called May a Stupid Woman.
And what else should I expect???
Haven't we see so much project fear that we should be shouting from the rooftops "You Lied"? Apparently not. Apparently we should be more interested in what Corbyn was muttering under his breath. Given that his sentiment was only what 70% of the country is currently thinking, we should be able to get Over it pretty quickly.
But Corbyn has given the press a Wonderful excuse to bury some extremely bad news for Remain and the Remain leaning press is making a field day of it.
