Most of the media coverage of Brexit has been vile. Any good news has either been ignored or described as happening "despite Brexit".
What worries me is the calibre of British politicians who are supposed to deliver Brexit. Justine Greening said the other day that there was going to be "no cliff edge" on immigration" in order to "reassure business". What else might she do to "reassure business"? A transitional deal to stay in the single market? For how long?
Trump wants to do a deal on trade. When is that deal going to be made? Is it ever? Because if you are in the single market you can't be going off and making your own trade deals as well.
Yes Aggers there is some good news, news that is being willfully downplayed by the media. But our politicians are doing what they are best at, namely deferrring a decision, kicking the can down the road, putting off the evil day. Thay are the ones who really worry me.
