Their manifesto offer is that we get to vote on any Brexit deal and if we do not like it we stay in the EU.

OK, I get that the original referendum was close and that 'Leave' was a nebulous term with a million and one definitions. I also get that there is no mechanism for the EU to throw us out and that there is the legal possibility of us changing our minds at any time up to a deal being signed off.

My take, as a Remainer is, "So What".

A50 is triggered, and even in these pre-negotiation days there is already a lake of bad blood between us. The possibility of things getting a whole lot better look remote, and as the negotiations proceed they are likely to get a lot worse. That then begs the question, if we did change our minds: Why would the EU institutions and the other 27 want to trust us and work with us in the future?

We will already have shown them that we are not enthusiasts of the EU project and that we are not afraid to disrupt things at the drop of a hat. By the time Brexit is near completion it will have cost both sides dearly and there are no guarantees of it not happening again.

It might sound like a good idea to LibDem followers and some Remainers, but the truth is that it is a non-starter.

Can you imagine it? Brexit negotiations are concluded in acrimony. The UK is offered a "take it or leave it" deal by the EU which is pretty much ruinous to us. Options:

a) have a LibDem second referendum in which we would probably decide resignedly to reject that offer and plead to stay in the EU? In that case, what sort of ongoing relationship would we then have with the other 27 Federalistas?
or
b) walk away, under Theresa May, with no deal, and two fingers up to the European Parliament?

That is the very strong British streak the EU has never understood. The more they push the more likely they are to trigger it.
