So now the press

Thinks that Cameron should spend aid money on schools and hospitals rather than on soldiers on the front line.

Well they can't have it both ways. Either defence and our troops are important or they are not. When you are being shot at, the last thing you care about is whether there's a slightly hospital for your family or the waiting list to get your fat removed is 1 day shorter; you want good equipment and good backup.

The NHS bill is tens of billions. A few tens of Millions will really help our troops.

Priorities. It seems to me that the priority of the press is to stand there and heckle instead of doing responsible work to better our society.

The welfare of the troops has never been a priority for those who send them to fight their battles. It is nothing new.

Squaddies, Matelots and Crabs are disposable resources, and always will be.

They are not valued by government or the people, if the truth is known.
