Wait a minute.

Cases being missed or flying under the radar until it is too late, due to a lack of funds, are understandable. If a case is not brought to the attention of any of the agencies involved there is not much that can be done.

The cases of Hamza Khan, Keanu Williams, Danile Pelka, Khyra Ishaq, Baby P, and so many others, do not fall into the unknown category. They were there, on the books, being watched, being visited, monitored and they were failed by the systems and people tasked with protecting them.

I also think that the training argument is a bit of a red-herring. Yes, it might take a long time to learn the legalities, the paperwork, the procedures, protocols and the system to be followed. But if someone needs more than a few hours training to recognise when someone is blocking or being evasive then they probably should not be doing the job in the first place, regardless of their academic qualifications.

They're fast enough to steal children from middle class people or working parents who are "not clever enough".

When it's one dedicated police officer who brings to light abuse like this, then the whole system has to come under scrutiny.

All too many of these local and central government departments are staffed with people it is virtually impossible to sack and virtually impossible to complain about.

I feel sorry for those who are good at the job, do a good job and actually make a difference in the community. Because their work is being destroyed by the scum on the top of the pool.....

Those who understand Binary and those who do not.

Absolutely Suff. Today there is talk of the fact that children are often too afraid to tell anyone if they are being abused, the abuser terrifies the child of what will happen to him/her if she mentions what goes on, and if they do seek help they are not believed. This is how it was 70 and 80years ago, and it is the same today. An abused child lives with the trauma throughout his /her life.. Many get over it, but it leaves a deep sense of insecurity and lack of trust in the individual whatever their age. Imagine the trauma caused by child mutilation. It does no bear thinking about!
Abused children are often solitary, or they become aggressive. Whether the abuse is physical or sexual. Anyone who abuses
A child sexually should be castrated, and women who hurt their children should be imprisoned Hard Labour and sterilised
And they include those who carry out child mutilation on their little girls.and those willing doctors who perform the act should be struck off.
