I'm happy that I'm not a granddad, and think I was very lucky to be born when I was,
for without a doubt I feel I have lived through some of the best years in the history
of mankind, in spite of World War II, and in spite of the spectacular introduction of
technological devices in recent years which has resulted in providing evil-doers with
the means of causing dire consequences.

As well as the pending problems facing mankind with regard to global warming, we
now have I fear, the ever-growing likelihood of another war more severe than what
as ever happened in the past. I hope and pray though that it will never come about.

Please don't label me as another pessimist. I consider that I am just being realistic.
