When will the lights go out?

It's not only electricity that will become more expensive. Oil will, too.

When walking with my dog in one of the local parks, I can hear the sound of countless motor vehicles
speeding along a motorway, and I often think that Governments throughout the world might be doing
something to help future prospects for the human race if they tried to reduce the colossal consumption
of fuel resulting from so much travelling.

Visitors from another planet, should they arrive, would think we were all crazy tearing about in vast numbers,
like the inhabitants of a disturbed ants' nest, It has to stop sometime, surely? My guess is that won't be long.
