I'm with Shelly on this one. I just don't care any more. It seems that no matter what you do, or how much care you try to live a healthy lifestyle, the b*uggers will always win. I can only say that I have no objection to eating horsemeat, I would just like it to my own decision rather than having it foisted on me by stealth by some crook.

The thought of eating horse meat doesn't bother me at all but I do object to it being used instead of other meats and that fact being hidden from consumers.

Also, I wouldn't have thought the horse meat used came from a particularly legal source so there is the concern about any drugs that the animal may have in its system.

But, if you are going to go out and buy ready meals then you aren't going to expect the best quality meat in it. If you are happy to buy cheaper cuts of meat from supermarkets it is also highly unlikely that you will get the best quality of meats - 3 chickens for £10 are that price for a reason!

Do you expect to get the best quality if you pay the cheapest prices - neigh, neigh - you expect to get the rubbish. What you don't expect to get is a horse if you are told you are getting a cow!
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!

Minister in the UK states that it's not a hygiene issue but a labelling issue.

I can just see it.

May contain traces (or a little bit more), of Horse

Brings a whole new vista to the old adage of not looking a horse in the mouth.

As you eat it........
