I stated that I wondered why they did not investigate the building site close to the Hotel we here they were staying,
It was of obvious importance. Now they have decided to start digging. :(

I absolutely hate the way the McCann's are idolised and feted by the media and the authorities. As far as I am concerned they are, and should remain, prime suspects and be treated as such.

That should be the case until others are found to have taken poor Maddie.

I wouldn't say they were prime suspects.

But I do think their irresponsible actions were deplorable.

Responsible parents would not leave children alone in those circumstances.

Quick to condemn, however I became sick to death of the publicity seeking McCanns, but then were it one of my little ones when small I truly believe I would fight to the end to find out what happened to her, from what we have read the area had and is a magnate for Paedophiles (probably no more than any where else these days) and the police did little from what one gathered to support the McCanns I could never understand why they did not investigate the building site close by at the time she went missing.

Certainly not suspects; they keep the case going till everyone is sick and tired.

They are unpopular because they left the children alone.

And also because they come over as calm cool and collected; maybe he is to some extent, but Kate certainly isn't.

They've gone through the worst experience that any parent could possibly go through, so for that I feel very sorry for them

Would .....
Wayne and Waynetta
Underclass Terrace
Wrongside le Tracs
Mining Town
have got the same treatment if they had left three children aged three and under in an unlocked flat in a holiday resort and gone out on the lash with their mates? Would they hell!

Would the Pope have genuflected before them? Would businessmen and slebs have aided their 'cause'? Would they have been able, or allowed, to hire a professional spokesman to field questions put to them? Would a website drawing in £millions have been set up? Would Wayne have been able to keep his job at the hospital, as a porter? Would Waynetta have been allowed her three days at the surgery, as a cleaner? When they got home would the Social have allowed the twins, Chelmsford and Traveloge, to sleep in their beds?

I have sympathy for the McCanns in that they lost their daughter, but that it where it ends.

Probably not, although little April Jones' parents got a lot of media attention.

I think this case has got such a lot of coverage because she was never found; all the other missing/dead children have been.

But with all that publicity, has it made their lives any easier ?

Has it made the loss of their daughter easier to bear ?

And as they were at fault they also have the guilt to bear.

Until you've walked a mile in someone else's shoes I don't think you can have even the vaguest concept of the torture they've gone through, are still going through, and will go through for the rest of their lives unless she is found, which is looking less and less likely as time goes on.

i dont think anyone would disagree as regards what they have gone BUT . why all the support from police /govt.?why them?

still have my doubts about this.

still all this digging gives the cops a bit longer in the sun at taxpayers expense or are the McCanns paying? thought not
