Williamson resigns.

Next!

I blame the media for making him bully his colleagues and sending them threatening texts and emails. Why would they do that to a chap with ever so many talents?

Disgusting.

Never mind, the Tories have plenty more to choose from to get their ministerial pensions.

A nasty piece of work. How do people like this become MP's?

So Sunak has found out that he is not immune from the mess the party is in.

This is only the first step.

But you Con ideologues keep on telling us that all is well and the mess the country and Cons are in is down to Corbyn and Labour.

Your party created this mess, yet you will never own it, it is always someone else's fault.

The country needs St Wilfred's yr six to run the country, they would do a better job.

It is not only the top Government politicians who make mistakes.

My local council have decidied to knock down the market hall which was only built in 1988 and replace it with a hotel, a bowling alley, apartments and a small
market area. It is alreadyn six months behind schedule, with a Chinese company as main contractor.

Same sort of thing here Cruiser. The new market hall in Wakefield was built in 2008; the old outdoor market was displaced and the land used to build a shopping centre, Trinity Walk.
Wakefield already had a shopping centre and it is only a small city (barely a city at all, really), and questions were asked if we really needed another one.

So now the old shopping centre is nearly deserted, the old market has gone forever, the new shopping centre has empty units and the new market hall is going to be redeveloped and used for "the creative arts", ie arty farty nonsense.

Mind you Wakefield Council are legendarily dim.

Leeds is a problem for Wakefield, and Bradford, Dewsbury, etc. As is Manchester for Oldham and Stockport and Birmingham for Walsall, West Brom etc.

They get all the funding for infrastructure, facilities and transport, to the detriment of outlying areas, meaning that everyone has to travel into these "city regions" for just about everything from entertainment to shopping to work.

It's odd when we are supposedly trying to go net-zero and carbon neutral forcing people to travel miles for many of the basics, and that travel is usually by car... thus clogging up and polluting these bigger cities.

It's all arse over tit, but the "planners" just cannot see it.

Please don't rewrite history. The "issues", not mess, the country is experiencing are predominantly from Covid and a war in Ukraine. This is massively exacerbated by the lack of unity or coherence on the Tory back bench.
