Cromwell, I am still torn.......

I used Ariel Sharon as a high-profile example of the other side of the coin. The young boy crushed at Hillsborough also springs to mind. They were both kept "alive" simply because it is what we could do, but for all intents and purposes they were dead.

It might not be as bad as euthanasia, but it is a pretty morally bankrupt course of action imo.

Frank, people have actually returned to normality following being unconscious for months, euthanasia opens far to many doors for abuse to take place regarding ending individuals lives.
