RNLA

I was not aware that the RNLA was manned by volunteers "Unpaid" at that I believe.
What a disgrace, I support them and Air Ambulance who are also supported by the publics purse. time governments and MP's
Got their priorities in order before damned successive governments dish out billions in Aid, how about looking after
Our own vital services.
Life here is cheap in more ways than one as we have seen by constant leaked reports, and that does not
Only apply only to our hospitals where doctors have to be bribed with a £1.500 golden handshake
For offering to work week ends. Unbelievable.

It certainly is not right that this valuable rescue service should have to rely
on voluntary unpaid service, when so much public money is squandered on
oversea aid to certain dubious causes.

Sorry I should have written RNLI.I was mortified to read they are supported purely by public donations, and also our Air Ambulance
We almost lost their services here four years ago. I put on a Revue to raise money for them and St Michaels Hospice, following the death of my husband, all local talent, the hall was packed, a great success, hilarious in parts, Can Can girls, dancers (in drag) great performers I raised £2,000
over the week end performance. Terrible that such a vital life saving service ha so depend
On public generosity when money is thrown to the undeserving. I am happy to support
Those suffering misery and starvation, but not those countries run by despots and the lack of supervision as to how the money is spent.

I am also amazed at the expenses claimed by charities.

Nothing surprises me now. I guess I'm just an old cynic.
