Arrested suspected gunman at Gunwharf ( aptly named !) formerly RN submarine base ,shopping centre last evening .Then later arrested 2 more men at same location.

From what I am reading it looks as though it was some bonehead with an imitation or a BB gun.

What these idiots do not realise is that if they point one at armed police or the public the police will act immediately to keep themselves and us safe. There is no time for negotiation - shoot first, ask questions later.
